Founder’s Note - From Konnie
I never set out to build a swimwear brand.
For years, I dreaded beach days - not because I didn’t love the ocean, but because I never felt at home in what I had to wear.
Men’s shorts never fit right. Women’s one-pieces never felt like me. Every option was a reminder that I didn’t belong in the boxes fashion tried to put me in.
Unity Cove grew out of that discomfort - and today, as I tip into my second year, I’m still running it out of my apartment.
Orders get packed on my living room, racks of swimwear line the hallway, and it’s messy and imperfect in the best possible way.
Every time I print a shipping label, I think about the person on the other side of it - someone who, like me, just wants to feel comfortable and free in their own skin.
What started as my personal frustration has become something much bigger: a community rewriting the rules of fashion. A place where nobody has to compromise who they are to enjoy the water, the sun, and themselves.
